Monon F7 83 at Indianapolis, Indiana on February 4, 1987, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 83 was built in January 1951 (c/n 11803) as Milwaukee Road 110C, renumbered to 83A (2nd), sold to the Indiana Transportation Museum as 83A in May 1983. It was repaired and repainted in a solid maroon and yellow stripes color scheme during August 1983 and lettered for "Fair Train '83", repainted again in August 1985 in former Monon Railroad's red, gray, and black color scheme and numbered 83. |
