T J General I have to doubt the multi-numbers theory. No info on a #1015 but we have #1085 pictured here: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoPicture.aspx?id=142734 The author states the date as 12/20/69. 1085 appears in the '69 pic wearing old CNW folors but then if you look at this pic: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoPicture.aspx?id=115958 we see that in 1974 #1094 appears to still be in severely faded, rusted CGW color(s). 8/4/2012 4:57:05 PM
Chuck Zeiler General Hi Tom, I based the information on the information in the C&NW page at utahrails.net and cannot verify its accuracy. It appears that the C&NW had an Alco S2 numbered 1015 (first), retired in 1967, then by way of merger acquired another Alco S2 from the CGW 10, renumbered to C&NW 1015 (second), which was renumbered to 1085 to make room for CGW TR2A 63A, which was renumbered to C&NW 1015 (third). If you can provide more accurate information, I will be happy to change the photo description as I am a stickler for accuracy. Thanks. http://www.utahrails.net/cnw/cnw04.php#1010-s2 8/4/2012 5:39:29 PM
