CB&Q XM-5 9805
CB&Q class XM-5 9805 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in August 1981, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. According to Michael J. Spoor's book, "CB&Q Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment", Pullman-Standard delivered fifty 60'9" auto parts cars to the Burlington in October 1963. Numbered 9800-9849 and designated Class XM-5, these 100 ton capacity cars had hydraulic cushioning, interior rub rails, and two 8' doors on each side. Originially dlivered in CB&Q stardard Chinese Red paint scheme, it has been repainted in a pre-merger paint and the large rectangular metal plate on the right was previously a CB&Q logo.
