CTA 2130
Chicago Transit Authority 2130 at Western Avenue on the Milwaukee Route (now called the Blue Line) in Chicago, Illinois on October 25, 1964, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This was a fan trip sponsored by the Central Electric Railfans' Association using a pair of the newly-delivered Pullman cars. The trip operated between regular trains, so the plan was to get close to the train in front, stop at the station and let us off. To get this shot you walked (quickly) off the platform at the right, down and around to the platform on the other side, got your shot and headed back to the train so as not to delay the train following, maybe 15-30 minutes..
