| Amtrak 2883, named PACIFIC RANGE, at about 18th Street in Chicago, Illinois on July 26, 1983, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 2883 was buiot by Budd in 1950 as UP 1434, PACIFIC RANGE, became AMTK 2627 and upon conversion to HEP in July 1979 was renumbered to 2883. Also of interest, perhaps only to me, is thj upside-down Purolator Armored truck in the background by the red crane, showing evidence of gunshots to the windows. |
