| AT&SF SD45u 5373 at Springfield, Missouri on October 6, 1994, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 5373 was built in June 1970 as AT&SF SD45 5621 ( c/n 36500 ) on EMD Order 7267, and rebuilt to SD45u 5373 in November 1983. I'm confused by the MKM on the cab. One source states the Santa Fe had contract with Morrison Knudsen for maintenance of this locomotive, another source states the locomotive was sold to M-K and leased back to the Santa Fe. Any help on this matter would be appreciated. |
