Note the airplane balls (there's another one between the units) that should help narrow down the location. Paul adds the following; KCS 666 was shot at the then-new fueling facility at the north end of Heavener yard. It’s NB; looks like a SB next to it. The grass-strip airport was just on the other side of the tracks. It was used a lot back when the national hang-gliding championships were held on the mountain just to the east of the yard. They were moved to AZ shortly after these pictures were taken. |
