Burlington Northern Railroad SD9 6146 at Clyde, Illinois on an unknown day in December 1981, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler Built as CB&Q SD9 344 in March 1954 (c/n 19003) on EMD Order 5313, it became BN 6146, was retired in February 1992 and rebuilt to TEBC6 6291. It still shows evidence of a steam generator. Also seen is BN NW2 504, built as CB&Q 9207 in March 1941 (c/n 1288) on EMD Order E376, retired in May 1983. |
