Chicago Aurora & Elgin Railroad 455 in the scrap line at Wheaton, Illinois on June 11, 1963, photograph by Chuck Zeiler. Number 455 was one of ten cars (road #'s 451-460) built by the Saint Louis Car Company in 1945 on Job 1717. The order was placed in 1941 but was held up until after World War II.
