SBD U30B 5526 at Nashville, Tennessee on December 4, 1986, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in January 1967 (c/n 36126) for the Seaboard Air Line as 805, it became 1709 when the ACL and SAL merged, and still later became SBD 5526. It has a Phase I carbody, using the late production U28B carbody. It is riding on Blomberg trucks from EMD trade-in's. I would suppose to accurate, this should be listed as a CSXT unit, but on this photo date it had not yet been renumbered into that company's system. |
