GM&O SD40 902 and IC GP9 9344 near 22nd Street, Chicago, Illinois, May 1979, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Number 902 was built in February 1966 (c/n 31008) on EMD Order 7843, eventually becoming ICG/IC 6051. Number 9344 was built in January 1958 (c/n 23844) on EMD Order 5553, eventually becoming MSRC 9003.

Description:
IC GP10 8096 near 22nd Street in Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in May 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 8096 was built in March 1953 as IC GP9 9096 (c/n 20175) on EMD Order 5378, rebuilt at Paducah during 1969 to GP10 8096, later sold to Eastern Shore RR.

GM&O SD40 906
Description:
Gulf Mobile & Ohio Railroad SD40 906 on the west side of Chicago, Illinois on September 4, 1982, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Seen here heading west on the ICG's Iowa Division at about Augusta Blvd and Western Ave. in Chicago, this locomotive was built in February 1966 (c/n 31012) on EMD Order 7843. It later became ICG 6055, then IC 6055, then IC 6034. Another source lists this locomotive as wrecked at Freeburg, Illinois on August 29, 1989 and retired. Perhaps it was rebuilt after the wreck, I don't know for sure.
