ICG GP10 8213 westbound near Carol Stream, Illinois on an unknown day in September, 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in February 1958 as B&O GP9 6588 (c/n 24372) on EMD Order 5568, it was damaged in a wreck, sold to Luntz Iron and Steel (Warren, Ohio), sold to the ICG for their rebuild program, rebuilt at Paducah Kentucky, outshopped in December 1973 as ICG GP10 8213, sold to PAL becoming 8306 sometime during 1986-87, out of service by May 1995, stored at VMV (formerly the ICG's Paducah Shops), sold to dealer Western Rail Dismantlers (Spokane, Washington) in January 1999, acquired by Peninsula Terminal (North Portland, Oregon) in September 1999 for resale, acquired by Joseph Transportation Services, sold to dealer Railway Equipment Leasing (Minooka, Illinois) on June 3, 2004. |

This locomotive was sold to VMV (who took over the shops) for parts. |
