SOO GP35 727 at Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Kodachrome by Gib Allbach, Chuck Zeiler collection. According the The Unofficial SOO Line Diesel Roster site ( http://sooline.dieselrosters.com/ ), number 727 was bult as SOO 727 in May 1965 ( c/n 30130 ), renumbered in May 1975 to 1776 and repainted in SOO's Bicentennial paint. Sometime after the Bicentennial, it was renumbered back to 727, retired in June 1986, conveyed to the Wisconsin Central and is believed to be scrapped. |
