MILW F-M H-16-44 429
Title:  MILW F-M H-16-44 429
Description:  Milwaukee Road F-M H-16-44 429 at Savanna, Illinois on July 23, 1963, photograph by Chuck Zeiler. Built by Fairbanks-Morse as road number 2509 in January 1956 ( c/n 16L994 ), class 16-FRS on the Milwaukee, it was renumbered to 429 and retired in February 1976. More information from Joe Lewnard:

This is a neat photo Chuck, as it's one of the few photos I've seen of the original 429, which in this photo is a Phase III unit. To my knowledge it was wrecked and retired in the mid-1960s, and 401, an H-16-44 with a Phase 1 carbody, was renumbered to 429 for accounting purposes. The unit retired in 1976 was actually the former 401. Milwaukee Road's diesel roster can be quite confusing.

Title:  CNJ RS-12 1207
Description:  Central Railroad Company of New Jersey RS-12 1207 at Jersey City, New Jersey on an unknown day in September 1964, Anscochrome by unknown photographer, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 1207 was built in January 1953 (c/n 75447), one of four RS-12's (#'s 1206-1209) shipped to CNJ in January 1953. All four were equipped with steam generators and SKF roller bearings. The careers of the RS-12's in commuter service were short-lived, and they were soon placed in freight service. Retirements began around 1970, and by late 1972 only 1207 and 1208 remained at work. By January 1973 all of the CNJ's RS-12's were retired.

The second AT&SF H16-44 order was for another ten units (#'s 2810-2819, later 3010-3019) was a Phase 2 design, built between June-July 1952, represented by trailing unit number 3019.
