Number 972559 was built by Alco ( Cooke ) in September 1915 ( c/n 54787 ) as C&NW X-4, eventually acquired by the NP and numbered 46 ( later, 47 ), converted from steam to electric power in 1966 with the electic power supplied by a trailing locomotive, at last report, RSPU number 972572 ( former NP F9B 6701B ) was the power supply.
