Title:  UP ARDEN
Description:  Union Pacific Railroad ARDEN at CB&Q's 14th Street Coach Yard in Chicago, Illinois on March 7, 1965, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. According to utahrails.net, this car was built by Pullman Standard and delivered as Chair Car 5449 in October 1950, reired in November 1951 (apparentlty it never ran in revenue service) to be rebuilt to Business Car ARDEN (2nd), completed in March 1952; to Business Car UPP 100 (1st) in April 1986; to UPP 5449 ARDEN to clear the UPP 100 number for use by the former SP Business Car 100 AIRSLIE (which was retired in 2000). The car is named after Edward Henry Harriman's first business car built in 1899, retired in the 1940's. Harriman's estate on the Hudson River in New York was named ARDEN.
