Description:
Burlington Northern Railroad caboose 11278 at Naperville, Illinois on July 28, 1982, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 11278 was built sometime between August 1941 and October 1951 by GN's St. Cloud shops as GN X250. The kink in Track 3 (left) will soon be rectified, eliminating the last evidence of the passenger platform that once occupied the space. Burlington's Zephyrs had to negotiate that kink.
