Built in September 1957 as CB&Q SD9s 458 (c/n 23637) on EMD Order 5549, it became BN 6205 and was retired in August 1987. The lower case "s" on the model designation plate indicates a Single control stand, a significant enough distinction for the CB&Q to separate this order of SD9 locomotives into a sub-class. All the previous orders of SD9 locomotives were delivered to the CB&Q with dual control stands for bi-directional operation. |
