Description:
Sperry Rail Service 135 at Waynesville, North Carolina on February 28, 1980, Kodachrome by Gib Allbach, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 135 was built by Saint Louis Car Company September 21, 1927 ( Job # 1459 ) as Seaboard Air Line 2023, powered by a Winton Model 120 275 hp 6-cylinder gasoline engine ( EMC c/n 262 ), sold to SRS in April 1945, renumbered to 135, retired in 2003, to Danbury Railway Museum in 2004.
