Description:  D&RGW 2-8-2 Class K-37 492 and Class K-36 484 eastbound at Oxford, Colorado on August 19, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 492 was built by Baldwin in 1902 as standard gauge D&RG Class 190 Number 1121. During 1924 it was reclassed as C-41 and renumbered to 1021. During 1928 it was rebuilt at D&RGW's Burnham Shops to narrow gauge 2-8-2 Class K-37 Number 492. On this date it has the smokbox from retired Number 490 to replace to original that was damaged when this locomotive hit a rock near Navajo, New Mexico on August 6, 1963.
