Amtrak SDP40F 647, E9 409, and CR SD45 6079 at about 18th Street in Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in October 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Note the strobe lights on 647. The open bridge in the background led to Grand Central Station. After the closing of that station, the bridge was raised into a permanent open position. One bridge is still in the closed position, and that is ICG's Saint Charles Air Line which continues on the bridge off to the left. |
