This locomotive was built in March 1949 (c/n 8488) on EMD Order 1006A, became BN 9917 (3/2/1970) and was sold for scrap to Preceision National on April 1, 1971. Train #10 is seen here 29 miles away from completing its 1034 mile overnight run from Denver. It departed Aurora (about 10 miles to the west) at 8:32AM, so it's about 8:45 or so in the morning, if #10 is on schedule. |
