Built in May 1962 (c/n 27151) on EMD Order 7621, it became BN 2217 sometime after the March 2, 1970 merger. It was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen to BN GP39M 2823 in September 1989, and eventually became BNSF 2823. |
