Description:
CRI&P NE 19111, Blue Island, Illinois, July 12, 1982, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Obviously built from a boxcar, this transfer caboose was still on the property two years afuer the Rock Island shut down. Too bad the creditors could not have been paid in blue paint, the Rock Island seemed to have plenty of that.
