Title:
CB&Q 13848
Description:
CB&Q 13848 eastbound at Naperville, Illinois on November 15, 1963, photo by Chuck Zeiler. The power at the front of this train was GN F-units led by GN FT 403D. One possible explanation for this situation is that the CB&Q (at the time of this photo) assigned the waycar (caboose) to specific Conductors, so for the trip from Galesburg to Chicago, the Conductor's waycar would be attached.
