Title:
CB&Q 4-6-0 Class K-4 723
Description:
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-6-0 Class K-4 723, date, location, and photographer unknown, print by Martin Brady, Chuck Zeiler bollection. The selected date (June 1, 1950) based on the CB&Q Locomotive Assignment Sheet of that date. The Sheet shows 723 assigned to the Aurora Division, but the bridge looks like Galesburg. Corrections are welcome. Number 723 wap built by the CB&Q's Havelock, Nebraska Shops as Burlington & Missouri River Railroad 3691, renumbered shortly after construction to CB&Q 723 and classed K-4. It was retired and sold for scrap in February 1951.
