Description:
CRI&P C415 421, Blue Island, Illinois, October 1979, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Built in November 1966 (c/n 3451-07), it was owned by an equipment trust jointly owned by Railcar Leasing Corporation (units 415-419) and the Union Pacific (units 420-424). When the Rock Island shut down in 1980, the C415's were returned to their respective owners/lessors, with the UP retiring their five in December 1980. Number 421 was sold to Brandon Corporation, June 23, 1981, used for parts, stored at Omaha, Nebraska, and scrapped after February 1990.

CRI&P NW2 4905
Description:
CRI&P NW2 4905, Blue Island, Illinois, October 1979, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Number 4905 was built in March 1949 as P&LE 8741 (c/n 7419) on EMD Order E1056, becoming RI 4905 sometime in the early 1970's, then moving on to Kuhlman Bulk Terminals becoming #1. The two C415's, built in 1966, also moved on to other careers, becoming Brandon 423 and 421.
